The deal, without the fog.
These terms apply to the free experience and paid digital wall placements. By using the service, you also agree to the Rules and Privacy Notice.
1. Operator, eligibility and agreement
The operator and direct contact details are published in the Imprint. You must have legal capacity to use the service. Paid purchases are for adults aged 18 or older. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it. The checkout summary, these Terms, the Rules, the Refund and Withdrawal Policy and the Privacy Notice form the agreement.
2. Service and contract formation
The free service creates a digital friend or business page. A paid order creates the wall placement described at checkout only after successful payment, automated verification and allocation. You can review and correct submitted details before creating the page and again before paying in Stripe Checkout. The contract language is English; translated interface text is provided for convenience. The order and consent record are stored for legal and operational purposes, but no customer account archive is promised.
3. What is and is not promised
A Friend Spot provides one wall position and its linked public page. A Brand Spot provides one connected 10×10 logo tile (100 positions); a Legendary Brand Block provides two connected tiles (200 positions). The placement does not create ownership of site pixels, exclusivity, investment value or intellectual-property rights. No amount of attention, traffic, clicks, ranking, leads, sales or commercial result is guaranteed.
4. Price, taxes and payment
The final gross amount, currency and any tax treatment shown in Stripe Checkout control. Stripe processes payment data; this site does not store full card details. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information. An order is accepted only after payment confirmation and successful placement creation. Duplicate, reversed, fraudulent or chargeback payments do not create a right to continued placement.
5. Immediate performance and withdrawal
Before payment, consumers must separately request that digital performance begins immediately and acknowledge that, once the purchased placement has been fully provided, they lose the statutory right of withdrawal to the extent permitted by applicable law. These confirmations are not preselected and are recorded with the order. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights concerning defective or non-conforming performance, unauthorized payments, fraud or any right that cannot lawfully be waived.
6. Content, logos and authorization
You retain rights in your content and give OneCentForMyFriend a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, resize, reproduce and display it only as needed to operate, secure and promote the submitted page or placement. You confirm that names, messages, links and logos are accurate, lawful and authorized, and that they do not infringe privacy, trademark, copyright or other third-party rights. A tribute or logo placement does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation.
7. Prohibited use
You may not submit unlawful, deceptive, hateful, threatening, defamatory, harassing, pornographic, malware-related or rights-infringing content; impersonate another person or company; manipulate allocation or payment systems; scrape or overload the service; evade moderation; or use the service to promote regulated or prohibited goods or activity. The Rules give additional examples.
8. Moderation, notices and takedowns
We may refuse, hide, restrict or remove content for suspected rule violations, security incidents, legal demands, payment disputes or credible third-party claims. Anyone may report content using the support email in the Imprint, identifying the exact page or wall position and the basis of the claim. We may preserve relevant records, request evidence and keep content unavailable while a claim is assessed.
9. Placement duration and availability
“Permanent” means for the intended operating life of the service, not forever and not a guaranteed minimum term. Maintenance, outages, migrations, security measures, technical limits and discontinuation remain possible. We may move a placement to an equivalent position when reasonably necessary to maintain or secure the wall without reducing the purchased number of positions.
10. External services
Public submissions may link to third-party websites. Stripe, Supabase, Netlify and other infrastructure providers operate under their own terms and availability. We do not control or endorse third-party content and are not responsible for transactions entered into outside this service.
11. Liability
Nothing excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, mandatory product liability, statutory warranty or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for foreseeable direct loss caused by a breach of an essential contractual duty. We are not liable for user-submitted claims, external sites, indirect commercial expectations or marketing results that were never promised. Mandatory consumer protections prevail over this section.
12. Austrian law and general terms
Austrian law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections of their country of residence. Statutory courts and consumer dispute rights remain available where applicable. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply and the invalid provision is replaced only to the extent required by law. Material changes apply prospectively; the version accepted at checkout governs the order. Operator and contact details appear in the Imprint.
